Fuego is an exploration in experience design via packaging in the context of a wine product. Through clever packaging the purchase, consumption, and gifting of wine can serve to heighten anticipation and enjoyment of the wine product. In the competitive wine marketplace brand differentiation is necessary for impulse purchase. Additionally, by creating a larger experience through the packaging, Fuego unlocks increase potential for gifting. The Fuego box doubles as a sconce for an included candle. After the unpacking, the box is flipped, and candle lit to create ornate shadows on an intimate table setting.
